Anthropic's Claude Lets You Build AI Apps Directly Inside the Chatbot
Okay, so Anthropic's Claude AI chatbot just got a whole lot more interesting. They're rolling out a new feature, currently in beta, that basically lets you build AI-powered apps directly within Claude.
If you remember, Anthropic introduced the Artifacts feature last year. It allowed you to see and interact with the things you asked Claude to create. This new upgrade builds on that, taking it to the next level. Imagine being able to describe the app you want, and Claude just whips up the code for you. It’s almost like vibe coding, as they say, but you can see the results immediately, inside Claude itself!
Apparently, people are already building some cool stuff. We're talking AI-powered games, learning tools, data analysis apps, writing assistants – the works. Some users are even creating agent workflows that chain together multiple Claude calls to tackle really complex tasks.
What's really neat is that these apps can interact with Claude through an API. Anthropic is also encouraging people to share their creations, which is really cool. The kicker? When someone else uses your app through the API, it counts against their subscription, not yours! This is a great incentive for sharing and collaboration, in my opinion.
The feature is available across all tiers – Free, Pro, and Max. So, whatever level you're at, you can jump in and start experimenting. To summarize, if you were waiting for a chance to dive into AI-powered app development, Claude might just be your ticket.
