Bing Offers Free AI Video Generator
Microsoft has integrated OpenAI's Sora model into its Bing app, offering a free AI video generator. This marks the first time Sora's capabilities are accessible without a paid subscription. While currently limited to mobile, the service lets users create short videos from text prompts. The initial offer includes ten free video clips, after which users can generate more using Microsoft Rewards points earned through various Bing and Microsoft Store activities.
Limitations and Future Plans
Currently, video generation can be slow, even with the "fast" mode, and only allows for vertical (9:16) aspect ratio videos. Users can queue up to three five-second videos simultaneously, with limitations on length and aspect ratio planned to be addressed in future updates. The desktop version is also in development. Despite these limitations, the integration of Sora into Bing represents a significant advancement in readily accessible AI video generation technology.
