Google Fixes Unresponsive Navigation Buttons on Pixel Phones with New Update
I have some good news for Pixel owners! It looks like Google has finally rolled out a fix in its latest August software update for that really frustrating bug that made the
three-button navigation and even gesture navigation unresponsive for some users. Apparently, after the Android 16 update in June, many Pixel users started complaining that their navigation buttons weren't working properly, or that it took ages for the phone to register a tap. Imagine tapping the back button multiple times just to go back – super annoying, right? It wasn't just one Pixel model either; people across the Pixel 6 to Pixel 8 range were experiencing these issues. It wasn't just the three-button navigation either, some users reported that their
gesture navigation wasn't working as it should too. Google mentioned that the update includes a "fix for issues with 3-button navigation and gesture navigation in certain conditions" , so, hopefully, this will put an end to those problems. scheduled dark theme wasn't working as expected. The August update is available for all devices running Android 16, from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 8 lineup.
