Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Slim Design, but Competitors are Gaining Ground on Foldable Thinness

Mobile

So, Google's latest foldable, supposedly called the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, is making waves. It's packing some serious upgrades, like being the first foldable with an IP68 rating (meaning it can handle dust and water like a champ) and magnetic Qi2 charging – that's pretty cool. Plus, they've bumped up the brightness of the displays and squeezed in a bigger battery, which is always a win.

However, if you were hoping for a dramatically sleeker design, you might be a tad disappointed. Apparently, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is actually a smidge heavier and thicker than the previous 9 Pro Fold. I know, right? In Google's defense, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold *was* surprisingly thin for a foldable. But let's be real, the foldable market is a fast-moving space.

Over the past year, we've seen companies like Oppo, Honor, and especially Samsung, pushing the boundaries of foldable design. Samsung has been trying to make the device as thin as possible. I would really like to see Google focusing in this field.
