TCL's 2025 QD-Mini LED TVs are incorporating Dolby's FlexConnect technology, a significant advancement in home theater audio. Initially announced in 2023, this feature finally arrives, promising a simpler setup for immersive surround sound. The system dynamically optimizes the audio based on speaker placement, eliminating the need for precise configuration.

Wireless Speaker Freedom

The core benefit of FlexConnect is the freedom it offers users. Wireless speakers can be positioned virtually anywhere in the room, and the system automatically adjusts the Dolby Atmos sound to compensate for their location and the room's acoustics. This is a considerable improvement over traditional setups that demand precise speaker placement for optimal audio performance.

TCL Z100 and Precise Dimming Series Compatibility

The TCL Z100 smart speaker is the first audio device to support FlexConnect, designed to work seamlessly with the compatible TVs. The TCL Precise Dimming series, encompassing the QM6K, QM7K, and the newly unveiled QM8K models, will also be fully compatible. Up to four Z100 speakers can be paired with these TVs, working in conjunction with the TV's built-in speakers to deliver a carefully calibrated Dolby Atmos experience.

The launch signifies a major leap in simplifying high-quality surround sound setup for consumers. TCL's initiative, along with Dolby’s technology, promises a more accessible and user-friendly home theater experience for everyone. The Z100 speakers are anticipated to be available this summer.
